Blues be careful of the culture you promote.

I moved to the State of Missouri just over a year ago. In my short time in this wonderful state I have had the pleasure of attending a game at Kauffman stadium Royals vs Red Sox, Arrowhead Stadium AFC Championship Chiefs vs Patriots, Bush Stadium Cardinals vs Cubs, Enterprise Center Bruins vs Blues. If I were to rate the passion of the fans of each fan base, I would place the Cardinals fans at the top of the list at #1 Followed by the Chiefs at #2 Blues at #3 lastly the Royals at #4.

Now if you have not figured it out, I am from the New England area and I love my sports teams.

All the fans are great no issues with the fans they all are Class acts.

As for the organizations, well The Cardinals, Chiefs and Royals Classy as well and they represent the community in such a positive way, Ownership, players, coaches all the way through the organization.

So when it comes to the Blues I got to see a team go from worst to first, saw a management and ownership bring in some key players and finally had the pleasure to see a team win a Stanley Cup for the first time, even though it was against my Bruins.

So why did I go from happy for Blues fans to utter disgust?

Well no quicker did Ryan O’Reilly get the cup in his hands and in true classy fashion dropped the F-Bomb on live TV. Okay it happens. Then I got to see the national treasure HOF retired hockey player Brett Hull throughout the SCF stumble, mumble, flip Bruins players off and when it came to his speech, I think today many a sailor is embarrassed. Do fans get foul? Yes it happens, but no a representative of the blues organization should never act in such a fashion. If you can’t act in a professional sober manner the maybe you need some rehab. I don’t see Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky or any other teams HOF players act like this.

Now we move to parade day, again here’s drunken National treasure Brett Hull barely making since.

Now we move to the players……………Sorry total loss of words for a moment. Since the second They won the Stanley Cup just about every interview was laden with F-Bombs, running right into the parade to the point NBC had to make an apology for the live language that was displayed.

Why I asked myself are these players acting like this? Well one thing I know in any organization is it starts at the top and this is no less apparent then watching a Craig Berube locker room speech, F-Bomb after F-Bomb so disgusting and shows a total lack of class.

So here you are Blues Ownership, management and Fans.. Will you let this culture permeate within your organization?

Or will you take what has been a magical Championship and allow it to erode into a culture of Classless players and fans? Because from what I’ve seen that’s not who St. Louis Fans or any Missouri fan base is.

Remember it’s not how you win it’s how you conduct yourself after you become a Champion.

(Just Saying)
